Hello, my name is Dr Aryan Tavakkoli, and I will be your doctor at Quantum Clinic. I look forward to meeting you and working with you on your path to optimal health.

I see patients with many different chronic illnesses, including autoimmune disease, longstanding skin and neurological conditions, chronic fatigue, and cancer.

As a conventionally trained doctor, I will have an understanding of your medical condition and can review and explain in plain language the results of any scans, blood tests and other investigations you have had.

I aim to address your problem from a holistic perspective and provide you with my recommendations using both a functional medicine and integrative medicine approach to place you in the strongest position possible.

I understand that many people have been living with chronic illness for years and may have seen multiple doctors in search of relief. Many chronic conditions share a common underlying factor: ongoing inflammation. My approach is focused on addressing and reducing this underlying inflammation, and my goal is to work with you to identify evidence-informed, integrative approaches that can support your journey toward better health.

Before we meet for the first time, I’ll ask you to fill out a detailed questionnaire regarding your health and to send this to me along with copies of your medical records – letters from your GP or specialist and results of tests you have had performed.

After I have reviewed your questionnaire and previous medical information, we will meet for your initial consultation.

During the first appointment, we will discuss your personal situation in detail, and I will provide tailored guidance to help reduce chronic inflammation in the body.

I may advise some investigations which can include blood tests, urine tests, stool tests and saliva tests. These tests will provide me with a thorough understanding of your individual biochemical and physiological parameters, in particular, the health of your gut.

Some of the areas that I investigate may include:

  • whether your digestion is working well or whether there is any evidence of malabsorption.
  • whether your gut microbiome is diverse and healthy, or whether there is an overgrowth of non-beneficial organisms, which may be impacting your condition or overall health.
  • whether your nutrition is supplying you with necessary vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, essential fatty acids and other vital nutrients.
  • whether there is any imbalance in your neurotransmitters or mitochondrial metabolites that may be contributing to your condition.
  • whether there is any evidence of toxic burden in your body.
  • whether you may have an issue with metabolising or clearing your hormones.
  • a detailed metabolic profile including blood sugar regulation, lipid profile, thyroid function, inflammatory markers and nutritional profile.

Deficiencies of essential vitamins and minerals, as well as hidden infections, heavy metals, chemical pollutants or other environmental toxins in your body, may hinder recovery because vital cellular processes will not be performing efficiently. Deficiencies of essential nutrients can contribute to chronic fatigue, impaired immunity, mental effects such as depression, and a host of other physical signs and symptoms. These issues can be identified with comprehensive functional medicine testing.

After your first appointment, I will formulate a plan for you to reduce chronic inflammation in your body, and once your test results are available, I will refine this plan to optimise your cellular function and overall health.  I will discuss all your lab results in detail with you and provide my recommendations for you. These may include measures to boost your gut health by improving digestion and absorption of nutrients; optimising your gut microbiome; and natural anti-inflammatory supplements, which will be individualised and targeted to your specific needs.

I may recommend a personalised protocol of anti-inflammatory therapies, allowing you to benefit from clinically studied, non-invasive treatments that actively reduce chronic inflammation in the body.

Any recommended therapy sessions will be tailored to you, with relevant tests such as inflammatory markers and symptom scores monitored to assess your response to treatment and ensure you are improving with the recommended interventions.

If there are integrative treatments that may benefit you but that I don’t personally provide, I will do my best to help direct you to where these services can be accessed.

During follow-up appointments, I address any questions, review your integrative plan and recommend adjustments where necessary, keeping you informed about any new recommendations or interventions that may benefit you going forward.

Please contact the clinic to discuss your condition and find out how I may be able to help.

I look forward to being of service to you.
